What do Flying Squirrels eat?

Like normal squirrels, they eat:

• tree and shrub buds
• flowers (tree, shrub, herb)
• fruits of many trees and shrubs
• berries (most types)
• fungi
• bird eggs, nestlings
• bark cambium
• carrion, especially in winter months
• tree sap.
